NETWORKING: Connecting the ECPA Community
The #1 reason a person or an organization joins an
association is to network within an industry community and develop
relationships with like-minded individuals and organizations. As the trade association for the $1.4 billion Christian book
and Bible publishing industry, ECPA serves
as a primary connection point for its members to network with each other and with
the broader publishing industry.
Annual events allow for personal connection, while our online community
forum facilitates connection, discussion and working groups among staff
in all ECPA member companies. ECPA membership offers significant discount -- or exclusive access -- to the following:
INFORMATION to strengthen ECPA Companies
Another key role of ECPA is to access
expertise, data, and information about publishing and business trends,
developing technologies and legal issues, valuable vendor services and global
opportunities; and make it available to its members.
ADVOCACY for Members and Industry
Members of most associations recognize that they can make a louder noise
together than they can individually.
This can have a significant impact on consumer awareness, media coverage,
product distribution and legislation. ECPA works on behalf of its members to raise awareness of
the industry, advocate for its interests, and promote its members’ products and
services through these programs:
ECPA also works
closely with other book industry groups such as the Association of American Publishers, the Independent Book Publishers Association
and the Book Industry Study Group to ensure
that our members are kept up to date with industry standards and best
practices.
* RECIPROCAL MEMBERSHIP OFFER FOR BISG: ECPA members are eligible to join the Book Industry Study Group (BISG) at a 33% discount off rack rate for the first year of membership. Email info@ecpa.org for more information.
