Gold | Platinum | Diamond Book Awards

Recognizing outstanding sales achievement in the publication of quality Christian literature

Criteria
A Gold Book Award is presented when a book property sells 500,000 units.
A Platinum Book Award is presented when a book property sells 1 million units.
A Diamond Book Award is presented when a book property sells 10 million units.

ECPA will also make special presentations to those titles that have achieved Double Diamond (20 million units) level in sales or higher.

Award Rules

ECPA Gold, Platinum and Diamond Sales Awards include ALL formats, including print, digital, audio and e-book sales.
NOTE:  Content in all formats included in your sales figure must be identical. APPS may be included only if full content of book is present. Free product (eg. giveaways and free downloads) may not be included.

Online Book Award Application

Sales Requirements*
Eligibility for these awards is attained whenever a book achieves the designated sales level in ALL its formats (print, digital, audio, e-book). Content in all formats included in your sales figure must be identical. Sales figures should include all forms of sales (premium, direct, etc.) with the primary form (more than 50% of the sales) being sold through traditional trade distribution channels.  Free product (eg. giveaways and free downloads) may not be included.

International editions may be included with accurate and verifiable sales reports.

Binding and Length
If the binding and/or format of a book change, but the content is identical, they should be combined for a total sales figure. If the content is revised or different in any way, they should not be included in the total sales figure used.

Eligible length for submission is a minimum word count of 20,000 with the exception of gift and children's books.  Other exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Application Requirements
The book publisher must apply to ECPA for the appropriate sales award. The application will serve as certification that the sales level was realized by the publisher. The book submitted on the application must be in print at the time application is made.

Series

Each book in a series must stand on its own.  Therefore, a series is not an applicable entry – but the individual books within the series are appropriate for submission.
