Multnomah
Jay Echternach began his sales career in 1986 as the national accounts manager for Philips Consumer Electronics in Portland, Oregon calling on big box and mass market retailers. Jay transitioned to the Hunter Ceiling fan company in 1993 as the Western regional sales manager responsible for national accounts and several rep groups.
In 1999 he moved to Multnomah Publishers as VP of sales. At Multnomah since 1999, he was responsible for the departmental sales planning, budgeting, marketing plan implementation and overall revenue goals of the company. Additionally, Jay transitioned to a 3rd party CBA sales team in 2004 and contributed to the development of the Inspirational Publishers group in 2005.
Since leaving Multnomah in August, he has started an independent rep group that specializes in sales to the ABA and mass channel accounts. Jay's wife; Deborah has been his faithful partner for over 30 years. They have two grown children; Jayson and Jennifer and will be moving to the Portland area shortly. Jay is an avid sportsman, loves to fish and has coached youth and high school baseball for over 15 years.
