Allan Fisher, vice president of editorial at Crossway Books & Bibles, has worked in the editorial departments of Christian publishing companies since 1974. He was one of three founders of the ECPA-sponsored Wheaton Book Publishing Seminar, which convened in the summer during the late 1980s and early 1990s; is a charter member of the Academy of Christian Editors, which he now serves as Executive Director; has published articles on the history of Christian publishing; and is a charter member of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing. He and his wife Diane live in Wheaton, Illinois, and have one son, Jeff, and one grandson, 10-month-old Nathan.
