David Lambert
Senior Fiction Editor
Howard Books, a division of Simon & Schuster
David currently serves as Senior Fiction Editor for Howard Books, a division of Simon & Schuster. He is the author of nine published books, including the Gold Medallion award-winning Jumper Fables, coauthored with Ken Davis. His short fiction has been published in periodicals as diverse as TQ, The Chariton Review, Sand, Virtue, Moody, Guideposts for Kids, and Story. He has received numerous awards for magazine articles published in such places as Moody, TQ, Christian Parenting Today, Virtue, Guideposts for Kids, Sweet Sixteen, Decision, Montana Magazine, Campus Life, and many other periodicals. David has an M.F.A. in fiction writing from the University of Montana. He has held a variety of positions in publishing, including managing editor of a youth magazine and founding editor of two others. Most recently, he was Executive Editor for fiction at Zondervan, where he spent eighteen years as an acquiring editor. He left Zondervan in 2003 to form David Lambert Editorial, providing editing and consulting services for publishing houses and bestselling authors. David also sits on the Editorial Board of Jerry Jenkins's Christian Writers Guild and wrote the Guild's fiction curriculum.
