Session 2 Editors and the Changing Face of Publishing Editors on Editing, Part II: Evaluating and Editing Today’s Manuscripts
In this session, editor and manuscript consultant Ross Browne will explore the distinctions between copy, line, and developmental editing and also the fundamental critical faculties that pertain to each task. This is intended to help editors and managing editors better understand the terrain and appropriate boundaries of these respective disciplines, with special attention to the conceptual evaluation of both fiction and nonfiction.
This interactive workshop will encourage discussion and provide attendees with helpful tools and materials to do their jobs more effectively and efficiently.
