CHRISTIANBOOK.COM provided February feature of the finalists and followed with full feature of the winners in March on their homepage as well as within each of the six categories. In addition, they sent a variety of targeted e-blasts to their consumer base featuring the finalists, winners and specific award categories, including Bibles and others.

BORDERS lists the 2009 Christian Book Award winners at the top of the BOOKS section, under Readers Favorites and plans targeted e-blast to Christian buyers.

AMAZON will post the 2009 Christian Book Award winners in the award section of their website and may promote these titles via targeted e-blasts to their religious consumer base which has been a highly effective promotional tool for them in the past two years.
BEREAN Christian Stores featured a full presentation of the finalists and winners on their homepage. They will send a targeted e-blast to their customers in July and provide seal designation to the winning books in their Fall catalog promotions.
The MUNCE Group featured the Christian Book Award winners in their MTL (More to Life) magazine.com. This is their public site which attracts about 50,000 consumers per month.
LIFEWAY Christian Stores created a landing page on their website to showcase the winners. They will be announcing this landing page via targeted e-mail blasts in the next month.
The PARABLE Stores provided both online and catalog promotion of the Christian Book Award winners. A newsletter was sent to all stores in March advising them to place orders for these titles and promote 20% off pricing. Catalog placement was provided in the April Gift Guide (on page 9) and corresponding printed endcap signs and product tags were included in the April merchandising kit for each store. April email to the stores included full list of the winners for reference. In addition, the winners were featured on the homepage and landing page of the Parable.com site.


FAMILY Christian Stores will soon be featuring the winners on their website. In the meantime, they have promoted five of the six winners in their “Top Shelf” program in recent months. The ESV Study Bible has been promoted and splashed in stores, on the web and in consumer catalogs consistently; though without the Christian Book of the Year designation.
CROSSINGS Book Club [Division of DoubleDay] published a full page of the Fiction finalists in a Winter catalog issue and featured the Fiction winner and finalists most recently in their July catalog which will be in homes starting June 11.
INNOVATIVE, a national website company working with more than 700 Christian retailers, church bookstores and broadcast outlets, have promoted the Christian Book Award winners on their client websites.
CHRISTIANITY TODAY INTERNATIONAL will run full-color print ads in partnership with the Christian Book Award program. These ads will run from October to December in a variety of their publications including Christianity Today, Books & Culture, Your Church, and Leadership Journal.
