2008 Official Rules and Category Descriptions

ECPA Christian Book Awards Official Rules 2008
Submission are accepted in six categories.  Click on the following links to view the descriptions and judging criteria for each category: The publishing company of the entered title must be an ECPA member in order to participate in the awards program.

2008 Entry Form Guidelines

• Review the Christian Book Awards Official Rules.
• Submit your entries online using our secure form. All entries are due December 12, 2007.
• Titles released from December 2006 to December 2007 are eligible for entry as long as the copyright year matches the year of release.
• The Entry Form requires title, author, ISBN, and publication date (month and year).
• Make sure each title complies with the certification called for in Section 1.5 in the Official Rules.
• Please do not abbreviate. The exact format in which the title and author is submitted will be the format used in all publicity regarding Christian Book Award finalists and winners.
• Finalist publishers will be asked to digitally submit their company logo and finalist book cover for promotions and recognition.

Entry Fees and Payment Process
All ECPA member houses in good standing are eligible to submit titles and will pay according to their annual sales volume the following fee per entered title:

Annual sales volume:
  < $5 million:  $175 per title
  > or = $5 million:  $299 per title

Payment will be made online in conjunction with the completion of the entry form and is not refundable.  For other payment options, please contact Cindy Carter.

Shipping Books
After you have submitted your entry and payment by December 12, 2007 please ship one copy of each entered title immediately to the ECPA offices at:

Then, publisher must also ship six sample books of each entered title to the distribution center for arrival between December 17, 2007 and January 9, 2008.
