Gold / Platinum / Diamond Book Awards
Recognizing outstanding sales achievement in the publication of quality Christian literature
Criteria
A Gold Book Award is presented when a book property sells 500,000 units.
A Platinum Book Award is presented when a book property sells 1 million units.
A Diamond Book Award is presented when a book property sells 10 million units.
ECPA will also make special presentations to those titles that have achieved Double Diamond (20 million units) level in sales or higher.

Sales Requirements*
Eligibility for these awards is attained whenever a book achieves the designated
sales level in all its print formats (with the same content). Sales figures should include all forms of sales (premium, direct, etc.) with the primary form (more than 50% of the sales) being sold through traditional trade distribution channels.
Application Requirements
The book publisher must apply to ECPA for the appropriate sales award. The application will serve as certification that the sales level was realized by the publisher. The book submitted on the application must be in print at the time application is made.
Binding
If the binding and format of a book change, but the content is the same, they should be combined for a total sales figure. If the content is different, they should not be combined total sales.
Series
Each book in a series must stand on its own. Therefore, a series is not an applicable entry – but the individual books within the series are appropriate for submission.
Fees
The applicant (current publishing rights holder) pays the following application fees:
This program is for ECPA members only:
$299 for initial award
$249 for each duplicate award when ordered with initial award
ECPA will publicize the award on our web site and by public recognition at our events. ECPA's official presentations are made at the ECPA Management Conference held each Spring and at Publishing University conducted in the Fall. ECPA will also consider other presentation requests.
*ECPA assumes no responsibility for the verification of sales figures other than as a matter of general industry awareness. ECPA reserves the right to request additional sales documentation as deemed necessary. Applications are subject to approval by ECPA Board of Directors.
