Strategic Responsibility:

Coordinate and interface with internal personnel and key external clients to ensure that sales activities are performed on a timely basis to maximize sales efficiency. Handles the processing of orders with accuracy and timeliness. Acts as the primary customer service contact for clients who have orders as well as questions about our products and/or their account. Prepare and distribute sales pieces needed to support the sales team; this can include but is not limited to spreadsheets, order forms, reports, cover images, website links, promotional flyers, PowerPoint presentations and trailers. This position would help service approximately 20 clients that could include: Ingram, Anchor, Baker and Taylor, Calvary Distribution,  CBD, Lifeway, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, General Marketing Distributors to Walmart and others, Parable, Munce, Covenant, Innovative, Cokesbury, Mardel, Hobby Lobby, DCC UK and Noble Marketing Group.

 

Position Requirements:

 

Formal Education: High school diploma with some college experience preferred

 

Experience: 2-4 years in an administrative support role within sales team(s). Publishing and/or bookstore knowledge preferred.

 

Specialized Knowledge/Certification: Proficient in Microsoft Office; particularly Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience maintaining databases, including report generation and order entry. Very helpful and strong administrative duties such as calendaring, typing and event planning. Excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills.

Job Description:

 

Coordinate and interface with internal personnel and key external clients.  Acts as project coordinator to ensure completion of efforts of sales activities on a timely basis. Handles the processing of orders with accuracy and timeliness. Services clients in a professional manner with strong customer service. 

 

Serve as liaison for information and product flow as necessary to ensure successful sales efforts to key accounts. 

 

Prepares and distributes sales pieces needed to support the team; this can include but is not limited to spreadsheets, order forms, reports, cover images, website links, promotional flyers, PowerPoint presentations and trailers.

 

Research discount discrepancies, quantity verifications, drop ship orders or similar issues. Keep accounts aware of price and cover changes etc. via a regularly distributed change memo. 

 

Work closely with the Sales Director and Inventory Coordinator to understand overstock situations and available discounts.  Communicates that information to sales team members or external contacts such as wholesalers or key accounts.

 

Maintain information in databases as requested.  Create and distribute reports as needed for key accounts or internal team members.


Provide administrative support to sales team members as requested.

 

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
