Strategic Responsibility:

 

To successfully develop comprehensive, integrated marketing plans, promotions, and campaigns, and effectively implement and manage those plans to meet goals for assigned David C Cook products.

 

Position Requirements:

 

Formal Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum three to five years marketing experience.

 

Specialized Knowledge/Certification:  Specific knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics required. Social, email and web marketing experience required. Past Curriculum Publishing experience preferred. Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills; a strong ability to lead, organize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.  In addition, this person must possess strong communication skills and the ability to develop and foster good working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external business associates. 

 

Equipment Knowledge: Microsoft office products required.  Mac user and Adobe Creative Suite knowledge a plus.

Job Description:

 

Work with Marketing Director to develop comprehensive integrated marketing plans, promotions, and campaigns for David C Cook's learning resources. Through collaboration with the team develop strategies based on market analysis, competitor data, market trends, customer feedback, and marketing intuitiveness.  

 

Manage and successfully execute marketing plans by working with outside vendors, ministry partners and the learning resources team to meet critical deadlines. Distribute marketing plans to appropriate staff (sales, customer care, product teams), and explain plans in a professional, clear and concise manner as needed. 

 

Support all areas of David C Cook learning resources by developing opportunities to promote select resources to our church and curriculum customers via website content development, e-campaigns, church resource catalogs, package insert programs, seasonal specials, scope & sequence updates, and other opportunities.

 

Participate in the strategic planning of SEO/SEM, digital marketing campaigns and social media for primary curriculum. Work to execute plans with our Digital Marketing group. Work as needed to create and curate content for lead generation opportunities and thought leadership. 

 

Participate in the planning, development, and (when appropriate) management of marketing-related activities at special events, conferences, and/or conventions.

 

Manage and implement quarterly mailings that include but are not limited to Reorder Forms and Mailing, Wholesale Dealer Order Forms, and Free Freight Mailings along with mailing for special campaigns.

 

Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for product lines. Monitor and analyze emerging technologies as well as new channels and distribution opportunities.

 

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
