Overview:

Working under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, the Conferences & Events Manager oversees Crossway’s presence at conferences and events throughout the year.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

1.     Research and evaluate invitations and new opportunities for Crossway to exhibit or promote our products at conferences and events

 

2.   Work with others to determine the extent of Crossway’s presence at events, and to staff the events with Crossway employees

 

3.     Manage the conferences budget and track all conference expenses 

 

4.     Create booklists and manage the point of sales system for all events, training and following up with staffers as necessary

 

5.  Manage Crossway conference materials, updating or replacing them as needed

 

6.  Coordinate all conference logistics and shipping

 

7.  Participate in marketing planning meetings, take conference-related notes, and provide conference-related decisions and input to the discussion

 

8.  Work on other marketing and conference-related tasks as assigned by the Vice President of Marketing & Communications

                                                                                                                               

Requirements for position:

The Conferences & Events Manager must demonstrate excellent administrative skills and be comfortable serving in a logistics role. Candidates must be highly organized and detail-oriented, and be able to turn over large volumes of work in a timely and precise manner. They must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as enthusiasm for working in a dynamic team context.

                                                                               

Personal Qualities:                                                   

Necessary personal qualities include a love for God’s Word and for his church, commitment to an evangelical understanding of the Bible, the gospel, and Christian doctrine, a genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and active participation in a local church.
