Webinar now available for download: Matching Consumer Motivations to Book Cover Design
Rick Hamm, Director of Marshall Marketing, presented via webinar on October 26 an overview of the latest RISC consumer research
that connects book design with consumer sales, which also provides the
basis for the judging criteria of the ECPA|dp Book Cover Award program
now in process. This years’ webinar enjoyed a record number of
participants from large, medium and small houses – and is now available
for download if you missed it or want to review. For a link to this
presentation, please contact Cindy Carter. This recording will provide a great staff introduction to the research and submission process.
Here are a few comments from those who attended:
"As a designer, I found it interesting in how the
presenter connected the psychology of personalities and cover design.
It was helpful for me to see which of the four personalities we could
be marketing to. It made me realize we have promoted products that were
for one segment of the market when our strong suit may be in another
segment." -- Kevin Spear, Graphic Designer, Warner Press
was all very helpful information, not only to help us decide on covers
to submit, but to help us in the design process as well.” -- Mark Ford, Sr. Art Director, WaterBrook
