ECPA Leadership Summit regarded as “best yet in content and presenters.”
Majority rated event “highly valuable.”
05/14/2008, Phoenix, Arizona -- ECPA hosted its annual Executive Leadership Summit in Dallas on May 4-6 with nearly 150 attendees representing 69 companies in Christian publishing. In the post-event survey, a clear majority of respondents rated the event “highly valuable.” Fifteen high profile speakers – including cultural specialist Andy Crouch, former University of Toyota trainer Matt May, O’Reilly Media’s Allen Noren, Zondervan’s Moe Girkins, and MacMillan’s Bob Kasher – addressed the industry’s executives and management teams on topics such as digital publishing trends, consumer forecasting, Christian book buyer research, developing corporate ingenuity, marketing to churches, and more.
Comments received were overwhelmingly positive about the value, content, and organization of the event:
“Best conference yet in content and presenters.”
“Excellent conference! Great speakers and content!”
“Excellent, thought-provoking content--the kind of strategic sessions we should have for this conference.”
“One of the best-run, most fluid conferences I have ever attended. Well done!”
“Great networking. Challenging content.”
“This was an absolutely amazing experience. Thank you so much.”
“I came away with a lot of enthusiasm and excitement of the possibilities that lie ahead with concrete ways to be able to address them.”
“Excellent! This was such a blessing...worth much more than what I paid.”
“Our Leadership Summit and Member Meeting is a unique opportunity for executives in Christian publishing to be challenged and informed, strategize with their teams, and network with other companies,” stated ECPA President Mark Kuyper. “In fact, the groundbreaking research on Christian profiles and buying habits presented this year was the result of two industry executives who started a conversation over lunch at ECPA’s event a couple of years ago. There is great value in meeting together and learning together. I am very pleased that we scored a ‘home run’ this year and we remain committed to providing valuable content and opportunities every year for our members and the industry.”
The 2009 Executive Leadership Summit will be held April 26-28, in Carlsbad, California. For more information about the event, visit the ECPA website.
