ECPA Announces Details for 2008 CEO Symposium

Training and Executive Coaching Sessions for Publishing CEOs

09/04/2008, Phoenix, AZ -- The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association (ECPA) has created a special symposium for ECPA member CEOs that runs concurrently with its annual Publishing University (PUBu). The 2008 CEO Symposium will take place November 2-4, in Chicago, IL, at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center.

The CEO Symposium program begins Sunday evening, November 2, with a Q&A and dinner with Simon & Schuster CEO Carolyn Reidy. On Monday, the Center for Creative Leadership, ranked in the top 10 of executive education programs by The Financial Times and BusinessWeek, will present “The New Map of Leadership: Key Trends for the Future.” Monday’s line up will also include a special session with executive coach and author Mary Beth O’Neill on “Leading Self While Leading Your Business.” Tuesday’s schedule features “Getting Things Done (GTD): Mastering Workflow,” a full-day productivity workshop presented by the internationally known David Allen Company, normally costing $595 alone but included within the symposium fee.

“Unique challenges and opportunities face today’s Christian publishing leadership,” says ECPA President Mark Kuyper. “ECPA has created this tailored training program to help these industry leaders lead from a place of confidence, strength and wisdom.”

The ECPA CEO Symposium fee is just $599 for ECPA members. Kuyper asserts the caliber of the program is exemplary: “We wanted to develop a strong program that matched the caliber of our industry’s CEOs—and I believe we have done just that. The professionals we’ve pulled together for this event have greatly reduced their fees so that ECPA can offer thousands of dollars worth of training in one convenient location, and at one low price.”
