(Ventura, California) July 24, 2008 – Gospel Light announces the hiring of Robert “Bob” Bever as Vice President of Sales & Business Development.

Robert joins Gospel Light with extensive publishing and church leadership experience.  Bob has served as Director of Sales at Group Publishing since 2004 to the present and VP of Sales at Cook Communications Ministries from 1999 to 2004. In 1986 he launched the Church Relations Ministry, the predecessor of the Willow Creek Association with Pastor Bill Hybels, and he served as its director until 1990.

Bob has also served in a variety of pastoral positions in three different Churches, located in Wisconsin, California and Illinois.  In addition, Bob is also a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at Trinity College in Deerfield, Illinois.

Bill Greig III, President of Gospel Light commented on Bob’s selection for this position, “Bob has a strong vision and commitment to the ministry of The Gospel through local churches, which we share at Gospel Light. As Bob Bever prepares to relocate to Ventura California, where Gospel Light has its headquarters, he commented, “I am excited about becoming a part of Gospel Light which has served the church with creative and relevant products that remain consistent with the Word and continue to change lives.
