When Smith College-alum-turned-beauty-queen-turned literary-novelist Tosca Lee released her debut novel last year, reviewers and best-selling authors immediately began raving. Now, the awards programs are recognizing her work as well.
Infuze Magazine hailed Demon as, “The most creative, mind-twisting novel of the summer.” And Midwest Book Review warned book buyers that Demon was, “A powerful, discerning tale that will have fans pondering their own deals with Demons.”
With all the praise surrounding the work, Lee was still taken by surprise when Demon was
recently given the Silver Award from ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year program. Additionally, Demon was a finalist for the coveted Christy Award for excellence in fiction and received second place in the American Christian Fiction Writers Book of the Year program. “What an amazing feeling it is,” Tosca said, “not only to see my dream happening, but to be recognized for it. It’s beyond description. Absolutely humbling.”
Never one to rest on her laurels, Lee is following up her smash hit with another mind-twisting
novel. Havah: The Story of Eve hits stores in October. Already, the words of praise are pouring in. Publishers Weekly has given her upcoming novel, Havah, a starred review saying, “Lee’s
superior storytelling will have readers weeping for all that Havah forfeited by a single
damning choice.”
“...passionate, vibrant, joyous, intimate…” raves Kevin Lucia, columnist for Press & Sun Bulletin.
And Eric Wilson, author of Field of Blood, Fireproof, and Flywheel, said, “...such scope, such beauty, that it defies description...Havah is a novel with boundless imagination.”
