Abingdon Press has an exciting opportunity to join a world class team of marketing professionals. We are looking for a Marketing Manager that is well versed in the latest digital marketing technology, is able to develop a product, can select marketing channels, will manage the product budget and processes solid analytical skills to track customer behaviors and trends. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of marketing experience, has taken a product from concept to market with the ability to adjust the marketing plan to meet the changing customer demographic and needs. This position will work on several key projects including up to 35 new books a year and is responsible for growing the audience for this publishing line. They will have excellent collaborative skills including inter-departmental, with authors and marketing channels as well as work well independently. Our focus will be on an individual that is driven to learn new technologies and industry best practices to help Abingdon Press continue to be the brand of choice in the Christian Market. We have listed a few of the responsibilities this position would be tasked with on a daily basis: 

   

  • Authority to make decisions and manage the financial aspects of marketing and promotions for Abingdon Press within established product areas, guidelines and budget  
  • Authority to keep the Executive Director informed regarding all financial/business issues of Abingdon Press, including budget issues, sales results, expense and contribution results for individual sales programs and other problems/opportunities which may arise  
  • Authority to participate in publishing planning meetings as required including strategic planning, business planning, and sales channel reviews
