The Business Systems Manager is responsible to manage Moody Publishers' publishing technology systems/IT, and support the user community, in a highly collaborative environment.


Essential Functions

Support and maintain all publishing business systems including Unison, Klopotek, EDI system, Web API interfaces, Warehouse shipping systems. Perform periodic software upgrades.


Monitor the systems daily to ensure continuous availability and functionality. Monitor error logs for operational issues.


Apply broad knowledge of current MP systems to the business processes of MP in order to solve problems and maximize effectiveness of current technology.


Utilize reporting tools to provide business intelligence to all MP departments, information to external customers, and to enable users to access reports on demand.


Provide support and training for MP employees on publishing business systems.


Evaluate new technologies, software, and related publishing industry initiatives in order to prepare proposals for management review.


Coordinate any design and programming work with vendors and Moody Bible Institute IT department; perform quality assurance.


Maintain necessary files and records of department operations.


Perform other related and special duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required.  Additional job related experience and/or education maybe substituted for the required education on a year-for year basis.


Two to three years of experience in systems administration, or similar experience.


Knowledge of SQL


Strong Communication, Collaboration, and Analytical skills.


Appropriate level of computer literacy for working in a customer-facing IT position.


Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship


Preferred Requirements

Knowledge of MS Excel, Word
