Lysa TerKeurst makes a strong showing in the ECPA Top 50 bestselling books list for February, reflecting POS sales in January as compiled by NPD BookScan. Her latest release, It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way (Thomas Nelson), comes in at #2, while the Study Guide for the title is at #8. TerKeurst’s third book in the Top 10 is her 2016 release, Uninvited, followed by another 2018 release, Embraced at #15.

The strength of It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way is reflected in the response to the online Bible study for the book, available through Proverbs 31, where Lysa serves as president. In January alone more than 100,000 women signed up for the study based on the book.

The #1 position in the Top 50 of Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis (Thomas Nelson) reflects the book’s continuing status as one of the top selling books in the general market. Hollis’ next release, Girl, Stop Apologizing, releases on March 12 from HarperCollins Leadership. Letters to the Church by Francis Chan (David C Cook) edges into the Top 10 at #9, while Joyce Meyer (FaithWords) is the only author with 5 books in the Top 50, including 3 books released in 2018.

As you would expect in January, books dealing with finances and getting your house in order are in demand. Dave Ramsey’s Total Money Makeover and the Total Money Makeover Workbook (Thomas Nelson) come in at #4 and #19. And two books that focus on the “minimalist” movement remain strong performers: The Minimalist Home by Joshua Becker (WaterBrook) is at #12, with Cozy Minimalist Home by Myquillyn Smith (Zondervan) at #46.

Two January 2019 releases cracked the Top 50. Beyond Blessed by Robert Morris (FaithWords) is at #11, and The Third Jihad by Michael Youssef (Tyndale Momentum) came in at #34.

The ECPA Top 25 Fiction list features a new #1 title, Becoming Mrs. Lewis by Patti Callahan (Thomas Nelson). Callahan will be a special presenter at The Christy Award™ Gala on November 6 in Nashville. Reflecting the desire fiction readers have for new stories in the new year, 8 of the Top 25 fiction titles are January 2019 releases, led by With This Pledge by Tamera Alexander (Thomas Nelson). Filling out the rest of the Top 25 fiction list are 4 titles by Amy Clipston (Zondervan) and 3 books each by Francine Rivers (Multnomah and Tyndale), Jonathan Cahn (Frontline/Charisma Media), and Wanda Brunstetter (Barbour).

The Jesus Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd-Jones continues its hold as the #1 title in the Top 25 Juvenile list, followed by Indescribable by Louis Giglio (Thomas Nelson) and The Beginner’s Bible (Zondervan).

The NLT One Year Bible (Tyndale) is January’s topseller on the Top 25 Bibles list. In fact, the NLT places 4 Bibles in the top 10, with the NIV (Zondervan) taking the other 6 spots in the top 10.

In ECPA’s Top 50 Spanish list, Los 5 Leguajes de Amor (Unilit) by Gary Chapman is #1, followed by Jesus Te Llama by Sarah Young (Grupo Nelson). Overall, Joyce Meyers (FaithWords) places 4 titles in the Top 50, with Sarah YoungRick Warren (Vida Publishers) and Alex and Stephen Kendrick (B&H Espanol) with 3 each. Robert Morris' new release Mas Alla de Toda Bendicion  (FaithWords) is #10 on this list (and placed #11 as Beyond Blessed on the overall Top 50 list).  Finally, we recognize the #1 in Spanish Bibles for January is RVR60 Santa Biblia Edicion Economica (Grupo Nelson).
