Leadership Summit, the two-day annual publishing event hosted by ECPA, takes on new importance this year as our industry continues to navigate through the new realities of faith and culture, technology, and the market. Nielsen Book Directors to Conduct Two Important Sessions at Leadership Summit on Christian Market Shifts and Opportunities

Kristen McLean and Greg Anastas of Nielsen Book will lead two sessions at the upcoming Leadership Summit.  Their first session will focus on the simultaneous shifts the Christian market has faced in the last decade: shifts in technology, sales, and reader demographics, which have had a deep impact on the way we do business. They will share key data that will help publishers make smarter decisions about where to focus efforts for higher engagement with the Church, booksellers, and the larger Christian market. In their second presentation, Greg and Kristen will draw on Nielsen’s 2015 Segmentation Study of the Christian Book Consumer Market. This came out late last year, and Leadership Summit will give an opportunity to weave this study together with some broader ideas about where the Christian Reader is headed, and how we can meet them where they live.  The session will address core questions such as: Who reads Christian books? What are they reading? How are they reading, and how is the face of our readership changing? Where are the biggest opportunities for engaging those who will be the most prominent practitioners of Christian faith in the next 5, 10, and even 30 years?

LifeWay Research executive director, Ed Stetzer PhD, will present a session at Leadership Summit on how Christian publishers can best reflect the churches they serve and the culture they influence.  His newest article for Christianity Today, co-authored with NAE's Leith Anderson, takes on the task of Defining Evangelicals apart from political profiling.


The industry's upcoming Leadership Summit, held May 3-4 in Nashville, is designed for the leaders of Christian publishing: managers, directors, vice-presidents, and C-level executives.
