Leadership Summit to explore future leadership and future readership

The ECPA Leadership Summit has been an annual highlight for the leaders of Christian publishing, but this year’s conference has special meaning and significance.

Leadership Summit 2017, held May 2-3 at the beautiful Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, will focus on the same dynamics that spread the message of the Reformers 500 years ago: a flourishing of literature and new Bible translations fueled by new technology.

With the theme, Future Leaders for Future Readers, our conference will feature in-depth engaging presentations from two of the most prominent and influential leaders of Christian higher education: Shirley Hoogstra, president of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities; and Dr. Barry Corey, president of Biola University and author of Love Kindness.

Acknowledging the central role the Bible has always played in Christian publishing, Biblica CEO Carl Moeller and other key leaders will focus on the current “State of the Bible” and the extraordinary work being done by various Bible societies, ministries, and publishers to increase accessibility and reader engagement—something that informs all publishers, whether or not they are involved in producing Bibles.

Skot Welch, president of Global Bridgebuilders, will share his expertise and experience on the shape of today’s successful companies: global, diverse, and technologically advanced.

You and your leadership team will also have the opportunity to hear from our industry’s C-Suite leaders on their most pressing issues and solutions. Kristen McLean of NPD Book (formerly Nielsen) will continue to inform us of the latest market data and opportunities for growth, and a panel of industry experts will discuss efficiency solutions available for publishers in marketing, discovery, workflow and production.

Chris Fabry will again host the ECPA Awards Celebration the evening of May 2nd where we'll honor the year's best in Christian publishing and honor the 2017 recipient of the Kenneth N. Taylor Lifetime Achievement Award.  Then we'll start the next day's programming with a word from Focus on the Family's Jim Daly, an industry panel on opportunities in the Childrens/YA market, and a conversation about Christian retail.

Best of all, you will have opportunities to network with your industry peers, and strategize with your own team in a beautiful setting how you can grow your company as you create and produce innovative, life-changing content for a global audience.

Make plans now to bring your leadership team to Colorado Springs for the most important Christian publishing conference of the year.
