No limit to number of entries.

Submitting Companies and Content

All publishing companies submitting entries must be ECPA members in good standing.  The Christian content in each entry must not be contrary to the ECPA Statement of Faith.

Publication Date

Eligible books or Bibles must be originally published by an ECPA member anywhere in the world and released for public sale between June 2019 - August 2020.

Book Formats

Books eligible for entry are defined as "bound volumes", either case bound (printed case or dust jacket), paper bound or spiral bound. Bible entries can include both front cover and/or front matter package design.

If multiple cover designs are available for the same entry, all versions may be submitted and will be judged as one entry.

 

ENTRY PROCESS

Online entry form will be available for submission now through August 15, 2020.
[Information from the entry form will be used exactly as submitted for program promotions.]

Entry quantity: Any ECPA member publisher, imprint or division of a larger publishing house may enter as many titles as it wishes.

Entry fee is $59 for each cover entry.  [Email instruction for payment will follow receipt of submission form. Entry fee is non-refundable. Both submission form and payment must be received by August 15 for 2020 program eligibility.]

Cover image file to accompany each title submitted should be 300 dpi in .jpg format that is actual size.

EVALUATION PROCESS

  • Program judges will evaluate each entry on the basis of its appropriateness for the market, level of conceptual thinking and quality of execution.
  • Judges are not aware of publisher or designer during evaluation phase.
  • Winning covers will be chosen from the entries to represent the year's best covers of the Christian publishing industry.
  • Winners will be announced during ECPA's PubU Online event on October 1st.
  • An Award will be mailed to each winning publishing house.
  • Each winner will also be featured in a print Annual, designed by Faceout Studios, produced by Color House Graphics, and distributed to the industry.
