ECPA Conduct Policy

We expect our members and others attending ECPA events to conduct business in a Christ-honoring manner at all times in all venues.

We understand the unfortunate reality that harassment can occur in the publishing industry.  Therefore, we believe, in keeping with our faith, it is important to state that ECPA does not tolerate bullying or harassment of any sort, including sexual harassment.  Harassment tarnishes both ECPA members and the integrity of the very Christian publications that the ECPA and its members are dedicated to delivering.

No person at any ECPA event should be subject to harassing behaviors, including slurs, epithets, threats, derogatory comments, or unwelcome jokes or teasing.  Predatory sexual behavior, unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, or other sexual conduct where submission to or rejection of such conduct is made a basis to either offer benefits or threaten any kind of detriment, is prohibited at our events and should be reported to ECPA immediately.

Any reported incidents of harassment will be promptly reviewed and investigated, and proper action will be taken.
